This week is PACKED with Holidays.

Monday was National Star Wars day. I know many of you, like me where unaware of this day. It was only brought to my attention by MamaKV on Monday night. The conversation went something like this:

MamaKV: Today is Star Wars Day.
Me: What !? How do you know you have never seen Star Wars.
MamaKV: May the 4th be with you.
Me: O man …..you are special.

Tuesday was Cinco de Mayo a great drinking holiday for those that enjoy participating in such festivities, or if that’s not your thing then you can read more about the true holiday here. For me it was a day home from work recovering from the 2 hours of sleep due to a teething baby the night before. None the less though it was still a holiday.

Wednesday was not a holiday but it was the weekly bowling night. I did bad. O well.

Today is odd day. Its a day that only happens 6 times every 100 years. 5/7/9 is three consecutive odd numbers in a row. This day marks the half way point in this centuries odd days which started back on 1/3/5. The other dates are 3/5/7, 7/9/11, 9/11/13, 11/13/15. Today also is my 25th birthday. Which happens to be odd. But wait … there’s more … today is Maryland State Employee Appreciation day. Yep, you guessed it. I am a State Employee doing the work of the people, for the people. Whoa. This is getting to be too much fun.

Friday and Saturday have no importance that I know of although I believe that Saturday is the Romanian Independence day.

Sunday is Mother’s day and tomorrows Fatherhood Friday is going to be hijacked for mothers so stick around and be sure to stop by.

Hopefully all these holidays won’t get me too far out of routine for next weeks back to the grind “boringness”.
